The West Bromwich Albion Away shirt worn in the 1982-83 and 1983-84 seasons is a great example of Umbro craftsmanship.
Featuring navy decoration to the yellow design - including thick contrast (v-)neck and cuffs, “WBA” initials, thin twin striping running horizontally and the British supplier’s logo - the creation is an exercise in classy restraint.
While the seasons the shirt was called upon in didn’t constitute a glorious period, the Baggies were in the top flight and certainly looking the part when required to change.
