Recently selling for an eye-watering £24,000, this long-sleeved shirt was worn by Arsenal player Alf Baker in the 1927 FA Cup Final.
Former pit worker Baker would go on to be capped by England but it wasn’t his day at Wembley on this occasion, as Cardiff City became the first and, so far, only side from outside of England to win the showpiece tie.
Arsenal graced the then Empire Stadium in north-west London wearing a fully red shirt with a lace-up neck - no contrasting white sleeves or numbers yet, but it did feature a part-embroidered monogram patch crest.
Estimated to sell for between £10,000 and £15,000, the Bukta relic - very nearly an antique - is undoubtedly a special example of a distant football era.
