Burnley Football Club, newly promoted to the English Premier League, have unveiled a limited edition Home football shirt, to be worn in the team's clash with Ipswich Town at Turf Moor this Saturday.
The special shirt celebrates the 100th anniversary of Burnley's 1914 FA Cup victory. In the club's classic look of claret body, pale blue sleeves and blue yoke with claret collar, the shirt also features a special gold crest.
Instead of the club badge, office of the British royal family, Buckingham Palace, has given permission for a royal coat of arms to appear on the one-off Burnley shirt. Burnley's 1-0 victory over Liverpool 100 years ago - courtesy of a Bert Freeman goal at the Crystal Palace Grounds - was the first final attended by a reigning monarch - King George V.

At the bottom left hand corner of the shirt, the names of legendary manager, John Haworth, and the 1914 match squad feature in a special embroidered panel.
Due to the inclusion of the royal crest, the shirt cannot be mass retailed, but the players' versions will be auctioned in the coming days.
