Last night, Club Atlético Tigre of Argentina wore their new Kappa Copa Libertadores shirt in an unlucky loss to Club Libertad of Paraguay in their first Group 2 game in the 2013 tournament, after defeating Deportivo Anzoátegui in the First Round.
The shirt, debuted against Anzoátegui, was designed by way of a contest, with amateur fan entries being submitted and then the opportunity offered to vote - via the Kappa Argentina facebook page - for a favourite from a nominated four design shortlist. The designer of the winning shirt, Matías Pecorari, is a regular contributor to the Fantasy Kit Designs section of this website as well as being a member of and regular contributor to our sister site DesignFootball.com, under the name of matupeco.

The shirt will be worn as an alternative to the regular Home shirt in all Copa Libertadores matches, aside from instances of kit colour clashes. With this being Tigre's first ever participation in the competition they will be hoping the specially designed shirt will bring them luck in the remaining group games and will appear right up to the later stages.
