Emre Gultekin Hand Sketches 1992-2000

Emre Gultekin Hand Sketches 1992-2000 #kitdesign #footballkitdesign

We’ve featured the work of kit designer Emre Gulteken several times on FSC, but this selection is a little different.

Emre’s archive of hand-drawn designs spans his pre-professional creative period and both demonstrate his obvious talent, going as far back as his teenage years, and his knack for preempting what would be seen on football pitches in years to come.

Highlights in this collection include the Galatasaray creations Emre managed to bring to the attention of then Gala coach Fatih Terim - popular adidas releases in another universe - and even one which arguably saw the light of day in Nike form last season.

But it’s not all about Galatasaray. The likes of Turkey, Celtic, England and Manchester United got the treatment too, with striking takes on branding, hoops and halves, and, notably, an Arsenal concept eerily foreshadowing the stylings of the 2004-05 Home.

Check out the full compilation here to rate Emre’s peculiar insight into the future.
