Fiorentina 24/25 Kappa Away Kit

Fiorentina 24/25 Kappa Away Kit

This is the 24-25 Kappa away shirt for Italian Serie A team Associazione Calcio Firenze (ACF) Fiorentina.

The design pays tribute to Florence and its historic coat of arms, featuring a red lily on a white background. It is inspired by two iconic away shirts from the 1968/69 Scudetto-winning season and the 1975/76 Anglo-Italian Cup campaign.

The shirt showcases a v-neck polo collar and a prominent red lily, integral to the club’s identity. The kit manufacturer's logo, the shirt sponsor, and the Kappa Omini logo on the sleeves are all in red against the white fabric.

An all-over pattern on the front, sleeves, and back creates a tone-on-tone diagonal texture effect with a shiny finish. "FIORENTINA" is printed on the outside of the back collar, while the inside features 13 lilies. Twelve of these lilies honour the twelfth man, and the final one, in a different colour, pays homage to Davide Astori, the club's unforgettable captain.

Call me old fashioned, but should Florence shirts not be violet? I mean, DUH! The tailor has taken extreme liberties (or perhaps maybe not even checking) to ignore the rich and purple history of this Venetian club. It's violet, you Nike dummies!

A team that plays in Florence is therefore not Venetian, as Venice is on the other side of the country. Fiorentina's change colours have been traditionally red and white.

@Clawthert Fillingbotton Didn't the Doges cease their power in the 18th century?
    • Clawthert Fillingbotton 1 month ago
Wrong! You are an idiot. Since 1789 Florence and the countryside around it - Tuscany - have been under the jurisdiction of the Doges of Venice. Checkmate you moron.

Yes, the home kits are predominantly violet, but this is the AWAY KIT. I mean, D'UH!

@Clawthert Fillingbotton Huh? Fiorentina has always had an away strip. It doesn't matter if no other teams wear purple, an away shirt like this in white creates more contrast against teams wearing black for example.

Riddle me this, dumpling head: how many teams in Serie A are purple? None! As such, Fiorentina need no away strip - they've never had one. Read them and weap, loser.

Is it just me or do the Fiorentina kits look like the badges and sponsor logos are always too high?

It's customery in that part of the world. Interestigly, even their socks are a little higher. My friend, Philly Steve noticed this too and got back to you.
