Introducing The 50 Kit | Celebrating 50 Years of Earthquakes Soccer
The San Jose Earthquakes have revealed The 50 Kit as their new alternate jersey for the 2024 and 2025 MLS seasons, marking the club's 50th anniversary.
This jersey reintroduces the Earthquakes' original red and white colours and is distinguished as the first MLS jersey to feature a retro crest.
The design pays homage to the club's NASL heritage, showcasing a vintage crest on the chest, complemented by two embroidered stars symbolising the MLS Cup victories in 2001 and 2003. The crest, featuring the name "EARTHQUAKES" in dynamic red and black letters with a distinctive "Q" intertwined with a soccer ball and "SAN JOSE" below, captures the essence of the club's early identity.
Styled predominantly in white with red highlights, the jersey echoes the club's historic attire with a classic red V-neck and black lettering for player names and numbers. It also features a unique pattern of NASL-era symbols along the red and black side panels.
A special jock tag at the hip commemorates the club's original logo from 1974, while the back neck spotlights the current primary logo in red, adorned with a "50" to celebrate the anniversary. The kit, made with adidas AEROREADY technology, is completed with white shorts and socks, each featuring three red stripes.
