Leicester City 1994 Home Retro Shirt

Leicester City 1994 Home Retro Shirt

Carrying the chest logo of in-house brand “Fox Leisure”, this Leicester City shirt will remind plenty of fans of a certain age of an exciting time in the Midlands club’s history.

Produced by retro specialists Score Draw, the design is based on an original that the design of which took its cues from the early adidas Equipment releases but saw a stylish jacquard pattern added.

Sponsor Walkers Crisps is, of course, present and correct, and the inspirational article saved its best to last when it was worn in the 1994 Football League First Division play-off Final, via which the Foxes were promoted to the Premier League.

Got some fond memories of the Leicester side of this era, who finally got promoted to the Premier League in 1994 at the third time of asking in the play-off final, beating local rivals Derby having lost out to Blackburn and Swindon in previous years. The kit I associate with the likes of Steve Walsh and Julian Joachim, with Brian Little in charge.
