Tailored by Umbro, and worn with pride by the players and fans of Peru, these are the new shirts for the Peruvian national football team. Umbro recently designed an ‘interim’ kit for the Peruvian team to wear whilst this more detailed design was being completed, so They are very pleased to finally reveal the shirts which will be worn by La Blanquirroja during the 2011 Copa America.
Tailored to fit the exact needs of the players, and inspired by the history and culture of Peru itself, the new shirts are a fantastic addition to our range of international shirts, and are sure to be worn with pride by both players and fans across Peru and beyond.

The use of a golden colour around the neck and the edge of the national crest on the new Peruvian shirts is inspired by the natural wealth of the country and the glorious past of the Incas. The small Rosette, referenced on both the home and away shirts, is always worn by Peruvians as it is a symbol very close to their hearts.
Across the shirt, the intense red sash is sewn into the main fabric of the shirt, rather than simply printed, reflecting the craft and tailoring that have gone into the creation of these garments. Both the home and away shirts are made from a special cotton/polyester blend, materials that allow the wearer to stay comfortable and cool whether they’re on the pitch or watching from the stands.
Umbro, the home of football tailoring, have used their history of design and craft to create ergonomically-shaped shirts that follow the movement of the body, with each compenent designed to perform a specific function. Together, these elements converge to create shirts that bring Peru to life on the football field. Tailored by Umbro, and worn with pride by Peru.
